These conditions make adolescents vulnerable to experiencing anxiety about the future (future anxiety). One environmental factor that plays an important role in helping adolescents manage stressful situations is social support from peers. This study aims to examine the effect of peer social support on future anxiety among students of MAN 1 Yogyakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis. The participants were 272 students of MAN 1 Yogyakarta selected through stratified sampling. The instruments used were a peer social support scale based on Sarafino and Smith theory and a future anxiety scale developed by Zaleski. The results showed that the level of peer social support was in the high category, while students’ level of future anxiety was in the low category. The significance test indicated a value of 0.000 < 0.01, meaning that there is a significant effect of peer social support on future anxiety among students of MAN 1 Yogyakarta. The regression coefficient value of -0.504 indicates that the higher the social support received by students, the lower the level of future anxiety experienced.
