One tangible implication of this spatial shift is the emergence of new religious authorities on social media. In contrast to the dominance of male figures in both traditional and digital eras, such as Taqy Malik and Kadam Sidik, the current digital space opens up opportunities for young Muslim women to construct religious authority, as exemplified by Wirda Mansur. Through her personal YouTube channel, Wirda Mansur initiated a movement to read Surah Al-Waqi’ah for 30 days (W30H), triggering a massive response in the form of thousands of comments from the younger generation. While the traditional practice of reciting Surah Al-Waqi’ah for livelihood and sustenance was previously passed down conventionally within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), this understanding has now expanded digitally. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to determine and analyze the forms of reception among young Muslim audiences toward Surah Al-Waqi’ah in the comment section of Wirda Mansur's YouTube channel. This qualitative study examines the phenomenon of Qur'anic reception on YouTube by highlighting the content of Surah Al-Waqi’ah delivered by Wirda Mansur to observe the forms of audience acceptance within the comment section. Primary data were collected through documentation and observation methods of two main video contents: the practice movement video and the motivational testimonial video, as well as the audience comment narratives therein. Secondary data were obtained through a review of relevant academic literature. The data processing stage involved examining the content of both videos, filtering and selecting relevant comments, and subsequently classifying them into several typologies based on the narrative content of the comments. The results indicate that the reception of young Muslim audiences toward Surah Al-Waqi’ah on Wirda Mansur's YouTube content constitutes an active and productive form of reception that converges into two main typologies. The first group utilizes the digital space as a platform to validate practices inherited from their families or pesantren, whereas the second group consists of audience members who were newly inspired to practice the surah due to the direct motivation of the W30H challenge. Overall, young audiences position themselves as active agents who utilize this religious practice as a tangible spiritual solution to various life transition challenges, such as university affairs, undergraduate theses, civil servant selection (CPNS), and economic struggles. This phenomenon simultaneously demonstrates a shift in the function of YouTube comment sections into a new cultural-religious space for the expression of youth piety in the modern era. date: 2026-06-04 date_type: published pages: 154 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS USHULUDDIN DAN PEMIKIRAN ISLAM thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Adzra Octa Aulia Rahmoyo, NIM.: 22105030124 (2026) RESEPSI ANAK MUDA MUSLIM TERHADAP QS.
