bibo:abstract "This study was motivated by the decline in social engagement among older adults, which\r\nis often triggered by the loss of loved ones or physical limitations and can lead to feelings of\r\nloneliness. If left unaddressed, this psychological condition can have a detrimental impact on their\r\noverall physical and mental health. This study aims to analyze how older adults demonstrate\r\nresilience in coping with loneliness through religious practices at UPT RPSLUT Budhi Dharma\r\nYogyakarta and how religious practices support older adults’ resilience in facing loneliness.\r\nPrevious studies on resilience in the elderly generally used quantitative methods and emphasized\r\nindividual psychological factors (such as self-identity, social support, and well-being), but few\r\nhave conducted qualitative research on how religious practices function as a coping mechanism to\r\nstrengthen resilience in the elderly.\r\nMethodology the research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach,\r\nin which primary data sources were obtained through field observations, interviews, and\r\ndocumentation, while secondary data sources were obtained from literature such as scientific\r\njournals, books, and institutional document archives. The subjects or informants in this study\r\nnumbered ten people, consisting of 7 primary informants and 3 supporting informants, namely\r\ninstructors of religious activities for Islam, Catholicism, and Christianity, using Purposive\r\nSampling. The data analysis methods in this study include data reduction, data presentation,and\r\ndrawing conclusions. This study employs Grotberg’s resilience theory, which encompasses three\r\naspects: I Have (social support), I Am (personalstrength), and I Can (ability to act).\r\nThe results of the study indicate that three aspects based on Grotberg’s theory shape\r\nresilience in older adults: external support (I Have), which takes the form of structured activities,\r\nguidance from staff, and social interaction; internal strength (I Am), demonstrated through selfacceptance,\r\na positive mindset, and spiritual awareness; and adaptive ability (I Can), demonstrated\r\nthrough emotional regulation, social initiative, and active participation in institutional activities.\r\nReligious practices, such as group Quran recitation for Muslim older adults, spiritual guidance for\r\nCatholic and Christian older adults, and available facilities serve as supports for older adults’\r\nresilience."^^xsd:string;
