This study aims to determine the effect of student participation in a sexual violence seminar on their level of knowledge regarding the issue. This study was conducted through a comparative study at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), a representative state university (PTN), and UIN Sunan Kalijaga, a representative state university (PTKIN) in Yogyakarta. Using an associative quantitative approach with a survey method, data were collected through online questionnaires from 385 student respondents determined by the Cochran formula using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression and indicator-based descriptive analysis. Statistical testing using a t-test demonstrated that seminar participation had a positive and significant linear effect on improving students' cognitive knowledge. However, the descriptive analysis revealed a knowledge-behavior gap. Students achieved the highest score on the cognitive-theoretical aspect (3.06), such as understanding regulations and forms of violence, but recorded the lowest score on the practical application aspect (2.95), such as the courage to report or intervene in cases. Comparatively, students' understanding of state universities (PTN) leans more towards a structural-legalistic approach (Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 30 of 2021/PPKS Task Force), while students from state universities (PTKIN) align gender issues more closely with inclusive religious values (PMA No. 73 of 2022/PSGA). However, students from both institutions continue to face similar cultural barriers, including victim blaming and unequal power relations, which hinder the application of their knowledge in their daily lives on campus. %K Partisipasi Seminar, Tingkat Pengetahuan, Kekerasan Seksual, Perguruan Tinggi %D 2026 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib77074
