Quraish Shihab by analyzing his interpretation of Quranic verses related to human spiritual conditions. In this study, heart disease is understood as an inner disturbance that affects human behavior, morals, and relationships with both Allah and fellow humans, such as jealousy, arrogance, showing off, envy, hypocrisy, and negligence in prayer. This study aims to identify the forms of heart diseases according to Quraish Shihab as well as the therapies offered from the perspective of Quranic exegesis. The research method employed is library research, utilizing the theory of Kristin Zahra Sands. The primary sources of this study are the works of Quraish Shihab, particularly Tafsir Al-Mishbah, supplemented by other literature relevant to the theme of heart diseases in Islam. Data were analyzed through interpretative techniques applied to Quranic verses related to the heart (qalb) and human behavior. The results of the study indicate that according to Quraish Shihab, the heart is the center of human spiritual and moral awareness. These diseases consist of hypocrisy, showing off (riya’) and reluctance to spend in charity (infak), envy (hasad), arrogance, love of the worldly life, and negligence in prayer. Meanwhile, the offered therapies include the Quran as a healing (syifa’), charity (sedekah), gratitude (syukur), self-reflection (muhasabah), remembering death, and maintaining prayers with devotion (khusyu’). These therapies aim to cleanse the heart so that individuals can achieve peace of mind and a harmonious life. Consequently, this study concludes that Quraish Shihab's concept of heart disease therapy is not merely spiritual, but also possesses Sufistic and social dimensions that are relevant to modern life. This research is expected to contribute to the development of tahlili (analytical) and Sufistic exegesis studies. date: 2026-05-25 date_type: published pages: 155 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS USHULUDDIN DAN PEMIKIRAN ISLAM thesis_type: masters thesis_name: other citation: Hailen Ike Yunida, NIM.: 24205031114 (2026) PENYAKIT HATI DAN TERAPINYA MENURUT QURAISH SHIHAB.
