      "abstract": "Islamic value-based career guidance and career planning\r\nare important aspects of adolescent development that influence\r\nstudents' future readiness. Islamic value-based career guidance\r\nis understood as a process of providing assistance so that\r\nindividuals are able to plan and make career decisions that are\r\nin line with Allah's provisions, thereby achieving a balance of\r\nhappiness in this world and the hereafter. Career planning\r\nreflects students' readiness to understand their potential,\r\nrecognize the world of work and further education, and\r\ndetermine realistic career goals. Before the treatment,\r\nobservations showed that grade XII students of MAN 2\r\nYogyakarta still experienced doubts in determining career\r\nchoices and were not yet ready in decision-making. This study\r\naims to test the effectiveness of Islamic value-based career\r\nguidance in improving students' career planning abilities. The\r\nstudy used a quantitative approach with a true experiment\r\nmethod with a pretest–posttest control group design. The study\r\nsubjects were 28 students divided into an experimental group\r\nand a control group. The experimental group received Islamic\r\nvalue-based career guidance for five sessions, while the control\r\ngroup received basic psychoeducation. Data were collected\r\nusing a career planning scale and analyzed using the Wilcoxon\r\nand Mann–Whitney tests. The results showed that after the\r\ntreatment, students' career planning abilities in the\r\nexperimental group increased significantly and were higher\r\nthan those in the control group. These findings prove that\r\nIslamic value-based career guidance is effective in improving\r\nstudents' career planning.",
