learning motivation of ninth-grade students at SMP Piri 1 Yogyakarta.The study is&#13;
motivated by the importance of the influence of peers in providing support,&#13;
encouragement, and a positive learning environment for students.&#13;
This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with two ninth-grade&#13;
students as research subjects and a Guidance and Counseling (BK) teacher as a&#13;
supporting informant. Data collection techniques included interviews,&#13;
observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data&#13;
reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.&#13;
The results of the study indicate that peer groups play a significant role in&#13;
enhancing the learning motivation of ninth-grade students at SMP Piri 1&#13;
Yogyakarta through six aspects, namely: (1) social, moral, and emotional support;&#13;
(2) social skills development; (3) agents of socialization; (4) sources of information&#13;
and advice; (5) identity formation and self-concept; and (6) sources of status and a&#13;
