development of the Wukirsari Cultural Tourism Village using the Actor-Network
Theory (ANT) approach. This research is motivated by the development of culturebased
tourism villages that not only play a role in cultural preservation, but also
contribute to improving the welfare of local communities, tourism managers,
MSME actors, and cultural artists.
This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach.
Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to
understand the roles and relationships among actors in the development process of
the Cultural Tourism Village. Data analysis was conducted using the concept of
Actor-Network Theory, which emphasizes the interconnectedness between human
and non-human actors in forming the tourism village development system.
The results of this study indicate that local actors become the main driving
force in the development process, and that local actor strategies based on culture
can serve as social and economic capital for the community. The strategies
implemented include institutional strengthening, the development of educational
tourism, preservation of local traditions, digital promotion, and the development of
culture-based MSMEs. From the perspective of ANT, the development process takes
place through the stages of problematization, interessement, enrolment, and
mobilization. The impacts arising from the implementation of local actor strategies
can also be seen in three aspects, namely social impacts, cultural impacts, and
economic impacts.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">338.4 Industri Pariwisata</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-05-25</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
