      "abstract": "Stunting cases in Kalirejo Village are still quite numerous in various urban areas.\r\nThe lack of role between Posyandu cadres and parents is one of the obstacles to\r\nhandling stunting cases, namely cadres who are less than optimal in the role of\r\ncounseling and mentoring, as well as the lack of parental cooperation in terms of\r\nparenting. This study aims to describe the role of Posyandu cadres and analyze the\r\nparenting style, as well as the synergy between the two in dealing with stunted\r\nchildren.\r\nThis study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study\r\nconsisted of Posyandu cadres, parents of stunted children, health workers, and the\r\nvillage government. Data was obtained through observation of Posyandu activities,\r\ninterviews, and documentation studies. The analysis was carried out using data\r\ntriangulation techniques, through data reduction, data presentation, and\r\nconclusion drawn.\r\nThe results of the study show that cadres have carried out their roles optimally as\r\nmovers, extension workers, recorders and reporters, as well as companions. In\r\naddition, three forms of parenting were found in parents of stunted children, namely\r\nauthoritative, authoritarian, and neglectful. The synergy between the role of cadres\r\nand parenting seems to be not optimal in the role of counseling and home visits. So\r\nthat the impact on changes in parenting patterns is not optimal.",
