The lack of role between Posyandu cadres and parents is one of the obstacles to
handling stunting cases, namely cadres who are less than optimal in the role of
counseling and mentoring, as well as the lack of parental cooperation in terms of
parenting. This study aims to describe the role of Posyandu cadres and analyze the
parenting style, as well as the synergy between the two in dealing with stunted
children.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study
consisted of Posyandu cadres, parents of stunted children, health workers, and the
village government. Data was obtained through observation of Posyandu activities,
interviews, and documentation studies. The analysis was carried out using data
triangulation techniques, through data reduction, data presentation, and
conclusion drawn.
The results of the study show that cadres have carried out their roles optimally as
movers, extension workers, recorders and reporters, as well as companions. In
addition, three forms of parenting were found in parents of stunted children, namely
authoritative, authoritarian, and neglectful. The synergy between the role of cadres
and parenting seems to be not optimal in the role of counseling and home visits. So
that the impact on changes in parenting patterns is not optimal.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">362.7 Permasalahan dan Layanan kepada Anak dan Remaja</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-05-25</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS ILMU TARBIYAH DAN KEGURUAN</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
