      "abstract": "This study aims to describe the strategies for utilizing digital technology in\r\ndeveloping early childhood independence and to identify teachers’ efforts in\r\novercoming challenges in the use of technology in RA Al-Husna Yogyakarta.\r\nDigital technology has become an inseparable part of early childhood life;\r\ntherefore, proper guidance and utilization are needed in order to provide positive\r\nimpacts on children’s development.\r\nThis study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data\r\nwere collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research\r\nsubjects consisted of the principal, teachers, parents, and students. Data analysis\r\nwas carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The\r\nvalidity of the data was tested using source and technique triangulation.\r\nThe results of this study indicate that: (1) teachers’ strategies in utilizing\r\ndigital technology to develop children’s independence were implemented through\r\nthe provision of IT facilities in classrooms, the use of digital learning media,\r\ncollaboration with parents, and habituation of independent activities for children;\r\n(2) the challenges faced in utilizing digital technology included lack of parental\r\nsupervision, excessive gadget use among children, and limited teacher competence\r\nin technology use; and (3) the efforts made by teachers to overcome these\r\nchallenges included conducting technology training for teachers, providing\r\ncounseling for parents, limiting gadget use among children, and strengthening\r\ncommunication between schools and parents in assisting children. The directed and\r\nwell-controlled use of digital technology was found to help children improve their\r\nsense of responsibility, discipline, and ability to carry out simple activities\r\nindependently. In addition, strong collaboration between teachers and parents\r\nplayed an important role in creating a more educational, safe, and developmentally\r\nappropriate use of technology for early childhood children.",
