      "abstract": "However, the dynamics of modern life indicate that the institution of\r\nmarriage is facing increasingly complex challenges. This study aims to analyze\r\nmarriage services for couples at KUA Gondokusuman and to examine the\r\nmulticultural–approach and its application in marriage services for couples at\r\nKUA Gondokusuman. Theoretically, this research refers to the concept of marriage\r\nservices developed by Murray Bowen, the multicultural counseling approach\r\nformulated by Derald Wing Sue, Patricia Arredondo, and Roderick J. McDavis, as\r\nwell as the approach rooted in the concept of Sikolohiyang Pilipino introduced by\r\nVirgilio G. Enriquez, which emphasizes the importance of local values and cultural\r\ncontext in psychological practice. This research uses a qualitative approach with a\r\ncase study design. The research subjects consist of one Head of KUA, two religious\r\ncounselors, one administrative staff member, one marriage registrar (penghulu),\r\nand three couples. Data were collected through observation and in-depth\r\ninterviews. Data validity was ensured through method triangulation and source\r\ntriangulation. The data were analyzed thematically using an interactive analysis\r\nmodel involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with the\r\nassistance of NVivo software.The findings show that marriage services at KUA\r\nGondokusuman are not limited to administrative processes but also consider family\r\ndynamics, cultural backgrounds, and the emotional readiness of couples. Each\r\nstage, from registration to post-marital guidance, is designed to encourage\r\ndialogue, reflection, and shared responsibility, enabling the services to function\r\npreventively, correctively, and in maintaining family harmony. The multicultural–\r\napproach is applied contextually through non-judgmental attitudes, respect for\r\ncultural differences, and the utilization of local and spiritual values. Counselors\r\nadapt communication in a humanistic and dialogical manner according to the\r\ncouples’ backgrounds, making the marriage services psychologically and culturally\r\nrelevant and effective in strengthening relationships and family resilience.",
