Studies on dual-career couples have predominantly focused on household conflicts, whereas practices of mutuality that sustain long-term marriages, particularly in non-urban contexts, have not been widely examined empirically. This study aims to understand the practice of mutuality among civil servant teacher couples and to analyze its conformity with the five pillars underpinning household life from the mubādalah perspective developed by Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir. This study is field research using a qualitative method and a feminist hermeneutical approach. The informants were selected purposively, consisting of five dual-career civil servant teacher couples who had maintained their marriages for more than 17 years. This threshold was selected to ensure that the informants had relational experiences that had passed through phases of adaptation in household life. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and analyzed inductively and interpretatively by understanding the couples’ narratives and practices as meaningful social actions. The findings were subsequently reflected upon through the five pillars underpinning household life from the mubādalah perspective, namely mīṡāqan galīẓan, zawjiyyah, mu‘āsyarah bil ma‘rūf, musyāwarah, and sakīnah, as a comprehensive normative framework formulated to understand marital relations. The findings indicate that mutuality among civil servant teacher couples is present in various dimensions of household life, including the division of domestic roles, communication, decision-making, financial management, career support, and the creation of relational security. The conformity of mutuality practices appears most substantive in the pillars of mīṡāqan galīẓan, mu‘āsyarah bil ma‘rūf, and sakīnah, while the pillars of zawjiyyah and musyāwarah demonstrate more varied patterns, ranging from substantive to negotiative. The original finding of this study is that mutuality does not always emerge from a theoretical awareness of gender equality, but rather from a pragmatic reciprocal logic that grows organically from shared professions and workloads. This study also finds that marital longevity does not require full conformity with all five pillars underpinning household life from the mubādalah perspective. date: 2026-06-02 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/77366/1/22103050090_BAB-I_IV-atau-V_DAFTAR-PUSTAKA.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/77366/2/22103050090_BAB-II_sampai_SEBELUM-BAB-TERAKHIR.pdf identifier: Rizki Alfarizi, NIM.: 22103050090 (2026) PRAKTIK KESALINGAN DALAM PERKAWINAN DUAL CAREER: STUDI TERHADAP PASANGAN GURU ASN DI KELURAHAN TELADAN, KECAMATAN TOBOALI, KABUPATEN BANGKA SELATAN, PROVINSI KEPULAUAN BANGKA BELITUNG.
