However, early marriage often leads to complex issues, such as dropping out of school, divorce, poverty, and domestic violence. Furthermore, social media creates a social construct that portrays marriage as a symbol of maturity and happiness, thus encouraging individuals to rush into marriage without considering physical, mental, economic, or social readiness. This study aims to understand public perceptions of the trend of early marriage and explore the influence of social media on marital decision-making, particularly in Gringsing District, from a social construction perspective. This research is field research with a normative-sociological approach. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews in Gringsing District. The research uses descriptive and analytical methods, utilizing the social construction theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann to analyze the dialectical process (externalization, objectivation, and internalization) in the formation of adolescents' social realities related to marriage. The research results show that content depicting an idealized married life, characterized by intimacy, economic stability, and the lifestyles of young couples, shapes young people's perceptions that marriage is a symbol of maturity and life achievement. This phenomenon encourages early marriage without considering mental, physical, and economic readiness, according to Berger's social construction theory, through the processes of externalization, objectivation, and internalization. Social media also influences young couples' understanding of the rights and obligations of husband and wife, potentially leading to unrealistic expectations, conflict, legal violations, and divorce. From an Islamic legal perspective, this lack of preparedness hinders the achievement of a harmonious, loving, and compassionate marriage.
