As part of the digital native generation, students trend to rely on digital devices in their daily lives, including for accessing and storing information. This phenomenon is known as digital amnesia, where individuals fail to retain information in their own memory due to excessive reliance on digital devices. This study aims to analyze the level of digital amnesia among Library Science students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, who studies how to search and utilize technology and information. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through questionnaire. The respondents of this study are 104 Library Science students from the 2021 cohort, selected using total sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics based on the mean, with the assistance of SPSS version 26 software, to measure the level of digital amnesia among students based on three main dimensions of the digital amnesia scale such as digital distraction, digital dependency, and digital detox. The results show that the level of digital amnesia among students is relatively high, with an average score of 2.71. The dimension with the highest average score is digital dependency at 3.34. The digital distraction dimension is also high, with an average score of 2.64. Meanwhile, the digital detox dimension has an average value of 2.44. From this research, it can be concluded that Library Science students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga have a relative high level of digital amnesia, particularly in the aspect of digital dependency. However, they are still able to managing their phone usage, as evidenced by the average score obtained in the statements within the digital detox dimension. There is a need for strategies to enhance information literacy that's not only focus on how to search for and access information but also teach how to manage and utilize information in a balanced and non-excessive manner. This study only measures the level of digital amnesia among Library Science students.
