This research uses a descriptive qualitative method and the research data is taken from the Qur'an, the interpretations of Jalalain and al-Mishbah which focus on the verses containing the story of Maryam and their interpretations. This study uses the theory of emotional intelligence initiated by Daniel Goleman based on five frameworks, namely self-awareness, managing emotions, self-motivation, empathy, and building relationships with others. Maryam's emotional intelligence is interesting and relevant to discuss because currently there is a mental health crisis experienced by the younger generation. Maryam's character can be a role model for how individuals can maintain mental stability and successfully navigate the ocean of life. The results of this study indicate that Maryam has five aspects of emotional intelligence. Maryam was the most special woman of her time and is relevant to be a human role model to this day. She possesses emotional intelligence skills in a sequential manner, like the steps of a ladder, starting with self-awareness, managing emotions, self-motivation, empathy, and culminating in building relationships with others. An important aspect that greatly influenced Maryam to have these abilities was religion. Maryam was born into a devout family and she was an individual who always surrendered to God. %Z Dr. Jarot Wahyudi, S.H., M.A.
