      "abstract": "This research is motivated by the pyschological and social challenges faced\r\nby deaf adults due to communication barriers in social interactions and conflicts\r\nthat have the potential to trigger stress if not managed properly. This study aims to\r\nanalyze the forms of coping mechanisms employed by deaf individuals at DPC\r\nGERKATIN Sleman, as well as how they are viewed from the perspective of\r\nIslamic Guidance and Counselling. The research method used is qualitative with a\r\nstudy case approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews,\r\nwith the validity of the data tested using the source triangulation technique.\r\nThe results of the study indicate that the coping mechanisms utilized by the\r\ndeaf individuals at GERKATIN Sleman are divided into two main strategies:\r\nProblem-Focused Coping (PFC) and Emotion-Focused Coping (EFC). The PFC\r\nstrategy, which focuses on directly addresing the source of stress, is divided into\r\nthree aspects: planful problem-solving, confrontative coping, and seeking social\r\nsupport. Meanwhile, the EFC strategy, which focuses on regulating emotional\r\nresponses, is divided into five aspects. These aspects include distancing, self\r\ncontrolling, accepting responsibillity which is expanded into self acceptance of\r\nunchangeable realities as a foundation for taking full responsibillity for oneself,\r\nescape avoidance, and positive reappraisal. From the perspective of Islamic\r\nGuidance and Counselling, the entiretyof these strategies represents a combination\r\nof outward efforts (ikhtiar) and inner spiritual management through the values of\r\npatience, gratitude, acceptance, and trust in God (tawakal) to achieve peace of mind\r\n(sakinah).",
