The success of this tourism destination shows that community empowerment is an important factor in creating economic benefits while maintaining the sustainability of local potential. Pasar Kebon Empring, located in Srimulyo Village, Piyungan District, Bantul Regency, serves as a community-based tourism destination that integrates traditional culinary potential, local culture, and community participation in its management. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with informants consisting of managers, MSME actors, local residents, and visitors selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, validated using source and technique triangulation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that community economic empowerment was carried out through five dimensions of empowerment: 1) enabling through the creation of business opportunities, utilization of local potential, and community involvement in tourism management; 2) empowering through training and capacity building for MSME actors; 3) supporting through facility support, promotion, and partnerships; 4) protecting through prioritizing local communities; and 5) fostering through cultural preservation and sustainable tourism management. The sustainability of economic empowerment is shown through active community participation, equitable distribution of economic benefits, and continuous community capacity building. These findings indicate that active community involvement is able to increase income, strengthen local capacity, and realize community economic independence and sustainability.} }
