This quantitative study used a questionnaire as the data collection method. A total of 165 respondents were selected through purposive sampling. This study used a Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach with the aid of SmartPLS 4.1.1.8 software. The results indicate that social media and the use of ecommerce (Shopee) have a positive effect on consumptive behavior. Meanwhile, Islamic financial literacy has a negative effect on consumptive behavior. Furthermore, self-control can moderate the influence of social media on consumptive behavior. Finally, self control cannot moderate the influence of the use of e-commerce (Shopee) and Islamic financial literacy on consumptive behavior.
