curriculum of the peculiarities of Islamic boarding schools at the Miftahul Ulum
Joho Islamic Boarding School, Madiun, which has successfully managed six tiered
education units (KB to SMK) since 2006. This study aims to analyze the planning,
implementation, evaluation system, and impact of the integrated tiered curriculum.
Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation,
and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model assisted by ATLAS.ti
software to ensure that the information filtering process was more efficient,
structured, and accurate to support strong conclusions.
The results of the study show four main findings: (1) planning is carried out
via layered deliberation with Tahfidz Al-Qur'an and the Study of the Yellow Book
as a binder for continuity; (2) the implementation of implementing vertical
integration based on the Spiral Brown Curriculum and horizontal integration of
nested and sequenced Fogarty models; (3) evaluation combining formal assessment
of the Independent Curriculum with the evaluation of cross-level boarding schools
(tasmi', Taftîsy al-Kutub, Student Control Book); (4) the impact includes the
achievement of dual competencies of IMTAQ-Science and Technology graduates,
the efficiency of institutional management, and the positive contribution of alumni
in the community.
The study concludes that the success of this model rests on the convergence
of Fayol's management functions, Fogarty's model, and Bruner's theory. In addition,
this study introduces a new concept in the form of performative evaluation and the
profile of graduates of moderately productive community leaders, which
contributes as an applicable reference model for the development of sustainable
multi-level Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">371.2 Pendidikan - Manajemen</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-07-07</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS ILMU TARBIYAH DAN KEGURUAN</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
