UD Surya Tanindo, a rice processing industry, still faces various OSH risks, as indicated by the suboptimal use of personal protective equipment (PPE), intensive manual handling activities, exposure to production dust, high-temperature working conditions, and a history of workplace accidents among production workers. This study aimed to identify potential hazards, assess risk levels, and propose risk control recommendations in the rice production process at UD Surya Tanindo using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method. The study was conducted through field observations, interviews, documentation, measurement of workplace temperature and humidity, ergonomic posture assessment using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method, and risk assessment using HIRARC. The results identified 23 potential hazards categorized into low, medium, and high-risk levels. The dominant risks were associated with manual handling of 50 kg rice sacks, operation of machinery without safety guards, non-ergonomic working postures with REBA scores ranging from 11 to 13 classified as very high risk, as well as exposure to dust and high workplace temperatures. These findings indicate that occupational risks in the rice production process at UD Surya Tanindo are primarily influenced by ergonomic factors, working environment conditions, and inadequate machine safety systems.
