behavior among Islamic bank customers by integrating religiosity as a
moderating variable. The primary focus of the research is to evaluate
the influence of perceived maslahah (public interest), customer
attitude, and trust on Financial behavior within the Islamic banking
ecosystem in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). The phenomenon
of low financial literacy and the prevailing public perception that
Islamic banks are identical to conventional banks serve as the critical
background for examining customers' internal cognitive and affective
factors.
The research method employed is a quantitative method using
statistical analysis tools the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation
Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, processed via SmartPLS Software.
Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Islamic bank
customers using specific sampling techniques and measured using a
Likert scale. Data analysis includes the evaluation of the measurement
model (Outer Model) for validity and reliability, as well as the
structural model (Inner Model) through Bootstrapping techniques to
test the hypotheses.
The results of the study indicate that perceived maslahah,
customer attitude, and trust partially have a positive and significant
influence on customer Financial behavior. Simultaneously, these three
factors also significantly determine financial decision-making in
Islamic banking. A crucial finding of this research reveals that
religiosity functions as a moderating variable that significantly
strengthens the influence of perceived maslahah, attitude, and trust on
Financial behavior. This suggests that customers with high levels of
religiosity tend to be more consistent in implementing Sharia
principles in their financial activities.
The conclusion of this study affirms that the Financial behavior
of Islamic bank customers is driven by a combination of utility
(maslahah), psychological evaluation (attitude), and institutional integrity (trust), all of which are reinforced by religious values.
Practical implications for the Islamic banking industry include the
importance of communication strategies that emphasize maqāṣid alsyarī‘
ah values and increased transparency to strengthen customer
trust and positive behavior.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">297.273 Ekonomi Islam / Fiqih Muamalah</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-06-09</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS SYARI’AH DAN HUKUM</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
