Amid the push toward an inclusive society, community-based social entrepreneurship has emerged as an alternative strategy that not only pursues economic profit but also integrates social values and spirituality. The Sinergi Berdaya Waste Bank in Temon Wetan, Kulon Progo, serves as a concrete example of a grassroots movement managed by a group of people with disabilities that harmonizes environmental management and social empowerment grounded in religious values. This study aims to identify the manifestation of religious spirit in the initiation process and to analyze the implementation of these values in the community’s daily management. The main question to be answered is how religious spirit is manifested and applied throughout all stages of the initiation and management of the waste bank by this group of people with disabilities. To answer this question, this study employs a qualitative approach using phenomenological methods to explore the life experiences and subjective meanings of the movement’s participants. Data collection was conducted systematically through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Research informants were selected using snowball sampling, consisting of founders/administrators and active members of Bank Sampah Sinergi Berdaya who have various disabilities. The classified data was then critically analyzed using Max Weber’s theories of the Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism, as well as the sociopreneurship theories of Johanna Mair and Ernesto Noboa. The research findings indicate that religious spirit has successfully served as the primary moral foundation and source of social energy in the practice of social entrepreneurship within this community. Spiritual values such as sincerity, contentment, mutual cooperation, trustworthiness, and social responsibility are clearly internalized into leadership styles, division of labor, and social interactions among members.
