        abstract = {impacts students' health, discipline, and learning environment, particularly when it occurs inside the classroom as a violation of school regulations. Addressing this problem requires collaboration between guidance and counselor (BK) teachers and homeroom teachers to ensure effective and sustainable intervention. This study aims to examine the collaboration between BK teachers and homeroom teachers in addressing smoking behavior in the classrooms of VIII-H grade students at SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with field research; data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the BK teacher, homeroom teacher, and six students identified through purposive sampling; data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that collaboration between the BK teacher and homeroom teacher was carried out through regular information exchange, direct reprimand and guidance by the homeroom teacher, individual counseling by the BK teacher, parental summons, written statements, and joint monitoring of student behavioral development; this collaboration was secondary and incidental in nature, supported by harmonious interpersonal relationships and shared commitment, yet constrained by the absence of a scheduled coordination timetable, heavy workloads, and suboptimal parental involvement.}
