%T REVITALISASI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM UNTUK PEMBERDAYAAN SANTRI DAN MASYARAKAT (STUDI KASUS DI PONDOK PESANTREN ASKHABUL KAHFI SEMARANG)
%X This research is motivated by contemporary
educational and social problems, including moral and
character crises, social individualism, technological
disruption, intolerance, and the weakening social function of
Islamic Religious Education in modern society. These
conditions require revitalizing Islamic Religious Education so
it remains relevant to current developments and addresses
socio-religious challenges. In this context, Askhabul Kahfi
Islamic Boarding School revitalizes Islamic Religious
Education through curriculum strengthening, learning,
character building, economic empowerment, socio-religious
da'wah, and religious moderation. This research aims to
analyze the construction, implementation, and theoretical and
practical implications of this revitalization toward student and
community empowerment.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a case
study type. Data was collected through participant
observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The
research subjects included Islamic boarding school
administrators, religious teachers (ustadz), students, alumni,
community leaders, student guardians, and community
members around the Islamic boarding school. Data analysis
used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña
through data condensation, data presentation, conclusion
drawing, and data verification. Data validity was assessed
through triangulation, member checking, observation
diligence, peer debriefing, and an audit trail.
The results of the study indicate that: (1) the
construction of the revitalization of Islamic Religious
Education is built through the socio-cultural system of Islamic
boarding schools, the exemplary role of kiai and ustadz,
internalization of Islamic Religious Education values, and the
social construction process in the form of externalization,
objectivation, and internalization; (2) the implementation of
revitalization is realized through the integration of formal and
diniyah curriculum, revitalized learning methods, character education, economic empowerment, socio-religious da'wah,
and religious moderation based on Islamic boarding school
culture; and (3) the revitalization of Islamic Religious
Education provides theoretical and practical implications in
the form of strengthening student character, social piety,
economic independence, religious moderation, and socioreligious
transformation of society. Based on these findings,
this study found that revitalization at the Askhabul Kahfi
Islamic Boarding School in Semarang occurs through the
integration of educational functions, character building,
economic empowerment, community da'wah, and religious
moderation, constructed through Islamic boarding school
culture and the exemplary role of kiai. These findings led to a
Revitalization Model for Islamic Religious Education Based
on Islamic Boarding Schools, integrating education, character
building, economic empowerment, community outreach, and
religious moderation into a framework that empowers students
and the community.
