EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL) DENGAN METODE THINK TALK WRITE (TTW) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XINIM.: 22104040050Mia Siti KhoiriyahauthorThe purpose of this study was to determine whether mathematics learning using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach with the Think Talk Write (TTW) method is more effective than conventional learning in terms of critical thinking ability and learning motivation among Grade XI students. This study is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all Grade XI students at MAN 1 Sleman for the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample comprised students of class XI F1 as the experimental group, who received mathematics instruction using the CTL approach with the TTW method, and students of class XI F3 as the control group, who received conventional learning. The instruments used in this study included critical thinking ability pretest-posttest questions, teaching modules, student worksheets (LKS), and learning motivation prescalepostscale questionnaires. Data were analyzed using parametric statistics, namely the t-test for critical thinking ability, and non-parametric statistics, namely the Mann-Whitney test for learning motivation. All analyses were conducted using SPSS 27 software. The results showed that mathematics learning using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach combined with the Think Talk Write (TTW) method was more effective than conventional learning in improving students' critical thinking skills, with a significance value of 0.000<0.05.
