N2  - This study aims to determine the role of Family Development Session (FDS) activities in increasing the economic capacity Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) in Kemantren Tegalrejo, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM). Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that Family Development Session (FDS) activities have an important role in increasing the economic capacity of Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM). This role is evident through educational, transformational, empowerment, mentoring and facilitation functions, and social control. Through Family Development Session (FDS) activities, Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) gain knowledge about family financial management, more appropriate use of social assistance, prioritizing household needs, and encouragement to live more independently. This activity also encourages changes in the mindset of Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) to be more disciplined, responsible, and able to manage their family's economic condition better. Supporting factors for the implementation of the Family Development Session (FDS) include the active role of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) facilitator, participation of Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM), support from the family and the surrounding environment, and systematically prepared materials. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include the low participation of some Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM), dependence on social assistance, differences in the level of understanding of participants, and limited time for facilitators in reaching all groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the Family Development Session (FDS) plays an important role in increasing the economic capacity of Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Kemantren Tegalrejo, although its implementation still faces several obstacles.
