Patterns of interaction on social media have also influenced changes in post-marital life, indicating that various factors in the digital era affect family life. One example is the podcast Marriage Is a Lifelong Act of Worship on the Nikita Willy Official YouTube channel, featuring Ustad Felix Siauw discussing the purpose of marriage in Islam. This study aims to analyze how the purpose of marriage in Islam is socially constructed in the podcast. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using Klaus Krippendorff's content analysis method. The research data consisted of podcast transcripts analyzed through the stages of determining the unit of analysis, data collection and transcription, data classification, coding, and data interpretation. The analysis was further strengthened by applying Peter L. Berger's Social Construction Theory, which consists of the processes of externalization, objectification, and internalization. The findings reveal that the construction of the purpose of marriage in Islam within the podcast is developed through three main themes: marriage as an act of worship, the establishment of a sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah family, and the responsibilities of husband and wife. During the externalization stage, Ustad Felix Siauw expressed his understanding through Qur'anic verses, hadiths, analogies, and personal experiences. At the objectification stage, these meanings gained legitimacy through the hosts' responses and the systematic presentation of the discussion. Meanwhile, the internalization stage was reflected in audience responses in the YouTube comment section, where viewers accepted, understood, and restated the values conveyed in the podcast. This study concludes that podcasts function as a medium of social construction that shapes public understanding of the purpose of marriage in Islam while reinforcing the role of digital media as a means of Islamic education.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">297.6 Dakwah dan Penyiaran Islam</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-07-22</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_77803"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_77803_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
