However, some students at PPM Al-Hadi Yogyakarta experience difficulties in achieving memorization targets, characterized by low learning motivation, lack of consistency in memorization, and the influence of the social environment. This condition indicates the need for a coaching approach that is not only academic, but also touches on behavioral aspects through counseling services. This study aims to analyze the application of positive reinforcement techniques in counseling and its effect on improving the achievement of student memorization targets. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study type. The research subjects were students who experienced difficulties in achieving memorization targets at PPM Al-Hadi Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested through triangulation and observational persistence. The results showed that the application of positive reinforcement techniques in Islamic counseling had a positive effect on improving the achievement of student memorization targets. This technique is implemented through systematic, consistent, and ongoing social and symbolic reinforcement, including praise, attention, appreciation, and trust. Furthermore, its implementation is supported by the principles of consistency, fading, and generalization, which encourage positive learning behaviors. The effects of positive reinforcement techniques are seen in increased discipline in participating in tahfidz activities, consistency in memorization and muroja'ah (recitation), and focus on memorization.
