%T HUBUNGAN ANTARA JUVENILE DELINQUENCY DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA SMK NASIONAL BANTUL
%X Juvenile delinquency remains a serious social concern, including in the Bantul region, Yogyakarta, where data from the Bantul Police recorded case of 40 cases in 2022, declining to 26 cases in 2023, and 18 cases during the January-April 2024 period. SMK Nasional Bantul is one of the schools facing this challenge, with an estimated half of its students coming from broken home families, low economic backgrounds, and exposure to deviant behaviors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and online game addiction, which are presumed to be associated with low student learning motivation. This study aims to determine the relationship between juvenile delinquency and learning motivation among students of SMK Nasional Bantul. The study employed a quantitative correlational approach with student population of SMK Nasional Bantul, involving 117 respondents as the sample. Data were collected using a juvenile delinquency scale and a learning motivation scale, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, linearity test, and Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.051 with a significance value of 0.585 (p > 0.05), indicating that there is no significant relationship between juvenile delinquency and learning motivation among students of SMK Nasional Bantul. These findings suggest that the level of student learning motivation does not directly influence the degree of juvenile delinquency at the school.
