This study aims to analyze the role of self-efficacy in helping students overcome difficulties during the thesis-writing process. The research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach using interview techniques with four main informants (AN, FH, NYZ, and QA) and four supporting informants who were close friends of the main informants, namely NY, AE, QF, and AA. The results of the study indicate that self-efficacy plays a very important and dynamic role, developing alongside an individual?s experiences. Self-efficacy contributes to several main aspects: cognitive, motivational, affective, and selection aspects. The cognitive aspect refers to an individual?s thinking process in completing tasks and overcoming challenges to achieve goals. The motivational aspect shows that the higher an individual?s motivation, the greater the internal drive to achieve success. The affective aspect highlights emotional self-efficacy as an important element that greatly influences individuals. Lastly, the selection aspect emphasizes that a supportive and appropriate environment is also an important factor in helping individuals achieve their goals. At the beginning of the thesis-writing process, most informants experienced confusion, doubt, and a lack of clear direction, which reflected low self-efficacy. However, over time, their self-efficacy improved through direct experiences, environmental support, and observing the success of others..
