%X The purpose of this study to determine is documentation practices in the Meniti Centhini performance by the Balai Pelestarian Kebudayaan Wilayah X Yogyakarta. Documentation plays a crucial role in preserving local culture, especially in addressing the challenges of globalization. One form of cultural preservation is through performances based on the Serat Centhini manuscript. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the Balai Pelestarian Kebudayaan Wilayah X Yogyakarta has implemented cultural documentation through two main processes: recording and managing information. The recording process consists of two stages: collecting information by selecting Objek Pemajuan Kebudayaan (OPK), event curators, performers, and documentation vendors, followed by information notation, which is entirely handled by vendors. Information management involves processing recorded data into documentation videos, which are compiled, stored, and distributed for public access. The cultural preservation process is carried out by disseminating the documentation videos through social media platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, allowing them to reach younger generations and the wider public. Through this documentation, the Balai Pelestarian Kebudayaan Wilayah X Yogyakarta successfully encourages younger generations to learn about Javanese culture as written in Serat Centhini.
