As a result, students have limited knowledge of local fauna, including leeches (Hirudo sp.), which possess ethnozoological value and are traditionally used by the people of Bantul as a therapeutic treatment. Therefore, learning media that integrate biodiversity concepts with local potential are needed to provide more contextual learning experiences. This study aimed to describe the ethnozoological findings related to leeches (Hirudo sp.) in Bantul, to design an ethnozoology pocketbook as a learning medium for biodiversity (a case study of leeches) for senior high school students, and to determine the feasibility of the developed pocketbook based on expert validation and user responses. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Imogiri and involved one material expert, one media expert, one biology teacher, and 35 tenth-grade students as respondents. Quantitative data were collected through expert validation sheets and teacher and student response questionnaires using a Likert scale, while qualitative data were obtained from suggestions and comments provided by the experts, teacher, and students. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis in the form of percentages and descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that leeches (Hirudo sp.) are traditionally utilized by the Bantul community for therapeutic purposes and have potential as an ethnozoology-based learning resource. Based on these findings, an ethnozoology pocketbook was developed as a learning medium for biodiversity. The material expert validation score reached 93.3%, the media expert validation score was 78.3%, the biology teacher response score was 93.3%, and the student response score was 87.61%. Based on the expert validation and user responses, the developed ethnozoology pocketbook met the feasibility criteria for use as a learning medium for biodiversity in senior high schools.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">371.33 Media Pembelajaran</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2026-07-16</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA;FAKULTAS ILMU TARBIYAH DAN KEGURUAN</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_77857"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_77857_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
