description: This study examines the management of the Academic  Competency Test (ACT), which serves as a final learning  outcome assessment replacing the National Examination  based on the Regulation of the Minister of Primary and  Secondary Education No. 9 of 2025. This research  analyzes the comparative management of ACT  implementation at MA Wahid Hasyim and SMA Bumi  Cendekia, particularly within the context of dual  curriculum implementation in boarding schools.  This research employs a descriptivecomparative  qualitative approach. The primary data were  obtained through purposive sampling involving 12 informants  and were strengthened through interviews, observations, and  documentation. This study formulates strategies for  improving educational quality based on the POAC+E management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating,  Controlling, and Evaluation) to support students’  continuity of study in higher education..  The findings reveal that, first, both institutions  implement ACT management systematically, although they  demonstrate different managerial strategies and  characteristics. Second, ACT results influence the fulfillment  of requirements for continuing education to higher  education institutions; however, they do not directly  determine student admission to universities. Third, the ACT  management strategies implemented by both institutions  include: (1) strengthening the English Corner program to  improve students’ mastery of English materials; (2)  implementing STEAM-based research methods to  develop students’ scientific analytical skills; (3)  strengthening ACT preparation through literacy improvement  programs and the provision of tutoring services; and (4)  creating a positive learning environment to develop students’  confidence and optimism in facing the ACT.  Holistically, ACT management reflects the  managerial capacity of educational institutions in  organizing learning evaluation programs. Therefore, Islamic  boarding school-based educational institutions are  encouraged to integrate modern curriculum innovations with  adaptive boarding management systems in order to produce graduates who possess strong spiritual  values while remaining academically competitive.
