        <dc:description>Students who are alumni of Islamic boarding schools encounter various academic, social, and psychological challenges when transitioning to university life. These challenges require resilience to adapt effectively while maintaining the values acquired during their boarding school education. One psychological factor that may contribute to resilience is self-control. This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-control and resilience among Islamic boarding school alumni studying at universities in Yogyakarta. This study employed a quantitative correlational design. The participants consisted of 201 undergraduate students who were alumni of Islamic boarding schools in Yogyakarta. Data were collected using the Indonesian adaptation of the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10). The instruments demonstrated good reliability, with Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.839 for the self-control scale and 0.847 for the resilience scale. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between self-control and resilience (r = 0.408, p &lt; .001), indicating a moderate correlation. These findings suggest that students with higher levels of self-control tend to have higher levels of resilience. Conversely, lower self-control is associated with lower resilience. Therefore, self-control plays an important role in supporting the resilience of Islamic boarding school alumni as they adapt to academic and social demands in higher education.</dc:description>
