These challenges require resilience to adapt effectively while maintaining the values acquired during their boarding school education. One psychological factor that may contribute to resilience is self-control. This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-control and resilience among Islamic boarding school alumni studying at universities in Yogyakarta. This study employed a quantitative correlational design. The participants consisted of 201 undergraduate students who were alumni of Islamic boarding schools in Yogyakarta. Data were collected using the Indonesian adaptation of the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10). The instruments demonstrated good reliability, with Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.839 for the self-control scale and 0.847 for the resilience scale. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between self-control and resilience (r = 0.408, p < .001), indicating a moderate correlation. These findings suggest that students with higher levels of self-control tend to have higher levels of resilience. Conversely, lower self-control is associated with lower resilience.
