abstract: Peer support is a form of social support that plays a role in shaping the disciplinary behavior of people with disabilities in residential care facilities. Interactions among peers enable people with intellectual disabilities to provide mutual support, serve as role models, and influence one another’s behavior in daily life. This study aims to identify the forms of peer support and its role in improving discipline among individuals with intellectual disabilities at Panti 3 of the Sayap Ibu Foundation in Yogyakarta. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using the case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants consisted of caregivers, social workers, and individuals with intellectual disabilities at Panti 3 of the Sayap Ibu Foundation in Yogyakarta, who were selected using purposive sampling. The results showed that peer support took the form of appraisal support, instrumental support, self-esteem support, and belonging support. The process of improving discipline occurred through observational learning, modeling, reinforcement, and reciprocal determinism.
