description: The current student body is predominantly made up of Generation Alpha – a  generation that is extremely tech-savvy. MTs Negeri 2 Temanggung is committed to  nurturing students who are able to develop in line with the demands of the modern age.  This commitment is realised through various technology-based learning programmes and  facilities. However, the use of technology-based learning resources is predominantly found  in science subjects, whilst in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), particularly the History of  Islamic Culture (SKI), the availability of digital learning resources remains very limited.  This situation has led to a lack of motivation among pupils in their SKI studies. This study  aims to investigate how to design learning resources for the History and Culture of Islam  for Generation Alpha using Augmented Reality technology at MTs Negeri 2 Temanggung,  as well as to assess their validity and effectiveness in the learning process.  This study is a research and development (R&D) project that utilises the ADDIE  model developed by Robert Maribe Branch. Research data were collected through  interviews, observation and questionnaires. The data were then analysed using both  qualitative and quantitative approaches, in accordance with the characteristics and types  of data obtained.  The research findings show that 1) following a development and research process  based on the ADDIE model—namely the Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement and  Evaluate stages—the WARIS learning resource was produced. The WARIS learning  resource has the following characteristics: it is a digital resource based on Augmented  Reality; it is visually engaging, contextual, easy to understand, easy to use without  additional applications, capable of enhancing independence, interactive, and suited to the  characteristics of Generation Alpha learners. 2) The WARIS learning resource has been  validated by several experts, namely media specialists and subject matter experts. The  results of the expert validation indicate that the WARIS learning resource is deemed  suitable for use in teaching and learning. 3) The WARIS learning resource has also  undergone quantitative testing, demonstrating that it is highly effective in supporting the  learning outcomes of the SKI module on the role of the Walisanga in Islamic da’wah across  the archipelago. The effectiveness rate reached 82.3 per cent, which is classified as a high  level of effectiveness. The development of the WARIS platform has made a number of  contributions, namely the creation of Augmented Reality-based learning resources, the  provision of learning resources tailored to the characteristics of Generation Alpha, the  optimisation of technology use in madrasahs, and the enrichment of learning resources for  Islamic Religious Education, particularly the subject of Islamic Cultural History.
