      "abstract": "Long Distance Marriage (LDM) refers to a marital arrangement in which\r\nhusbands and wives live separately due to work, education, or economic factors.\r\nSuch circumstances may affect the fulfillment of the rights and obligations of\r\nspouses as regulated under Islamic Family Law. This study aims to analyze the\r\npractice of fulfilling the rights and obligations of spouses who are in a Long\r\nDistance Marriage in Banteran Hamlet, Donoharjo Village, Ngaglik Subdistrict,\r\nSleman Regency, and to examine it from the perspective of Islamic Family Law\r\nusing the Mubadalah Theory. Banteran Hamlet was selected as the research site\r\nbecause preliminary observations identified couples who were engaged in Long\r\nDistance Marriage with diverse circumstances and patterns of married life.\r\nThis research is a field study using a gender-juridical approach with a\r\ndescriptive-analytical nature. Data were collected through interviews,\r\nobservation, and documentation, and were analyzed qualitatively using an\r\ninductive method. Primary and secondary data were obtained from legislation,\r\nMubadalah literature, the Compilation of Islamic Law, books, and relevant\r\nacademic journals.\r\nThe results show that the fulfillment of the rights and obligations of spouses in\r\nLong Distance Marriage has generally been carried out well, particularly in\r\nterms of financial support, communication, and family responsibilities. However,\r\nseveral challenges remain, including limited face-to-face interaction, the\r\nfulfillment of biological needs, childcare, and communication barriers. From the\r\nperspective of Islamic Family Law, these practices are generally consistent with\r\nIslamic legal provisions as long as both spouses fulfill their respective\r\nresponsibilities. Meanwhile, the Mubadalah Theory demonstrates the principle of\r\nreciprocity through cooperation, communication, and mutual trust in maintaining\r\nmarital stability.",
