      "abstract": "This study examines the meaning of the Jumat Legi night myth at the Troloyo Tomb, Mojokerto, which is considered a sacred time in the Javanese calendar, where prayers are believed to be more mustajab (quickly answered). The Troloyo Tomb, a historical site from the 14th century associated with Sheikh Jumadil Qubro, a pioneer of Islamization in Java, serves as a pilgrimage center attracting thousands of pilgrims from various regions, including Java, Sumatra, Brunei, and Malaysia. This myth influences not only religious practices but also the social, economic, and cultural aspects of local communities and pilgrims. The research focuses on how the Jumat Legi night myth shapes spiritual experiences, social solidarity, economic activities, and the preservation of Javanese-Islamic identity.\r\nThis study employs a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with key informants (tomb caretakers, pilgrims, traders, and local residents), and analysis of documents related to the history of the Troloyo Tomb. Data analysis was conducted using the anthropology of religion approach and Mircea Eliade’s theory of the Sacred and the Profane, which emphasizes the connection between the profane and sacred worlds through myths and rituals. The research was conducted in Kaliasin and Sentonorejo Villages, Trowulan Subdistrict, Mojokerto, with a focus on Jumat Legi night pilgrimage activities.\r\nThe study reveals that the Jumat Legi night myth holds multidimensional meanings for pilgrims and local communities. Spiritually, the myth reinforces the belief that prayers offered on this night are more likely to be answered, creating a transcendent experience that connects pilgrims with the sacred dimension through the tomb of Sheikh Jumadil Qubro and the ancient well. Socially, the Jumat Legi pilgrimage serves as a collective ritual that strengthens solidarity among pilgrims and local communities through communal prayers, tahlil recitations, and social interactions. Economically, the myth encourages trading and service activities (parking, motorcycle taxis, public toilets), driven by the belief that engaging in commerce on this night brings blessings. Culturally, the myth reflects a synthesis of Javanese and Islamic traditions, preserving the historical legacy of the Majapahit era and Sheikh Jumadil Qubro’s role, while reinforcing the collective identity of Javanese society.",
