The film portrays the complex dynamic between Aqilla and her mother, Halimah depicting filial piety not merely as obedience, but as a moral struggle amid conflict, deception, and reconciliation. This study aims to analyze the representation of Birrul Walidain values in the film through Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using Roland Barthes' semiotic framework through three levels of meaning: denotation, connotation, and myth, supported by Stuart Hall's representation theory and M. Quraish Shihab's concept of Birrul Walidain, which encompasses five indicators: obedience to parents, respectful conduct and speech, gratitude for parental sacrifice, acts of care and accompaniment, and prayer for parents. The object of analysis consists of four selected scenes identified based on these five indicators. The findings reveal that the representation of Birrul Walidain manifests in two patterns: absence in conflict scenes between Aqilla and Halimah, and presence in scenes of reconciliation and respect. Of the five indicators from Quraish Shihab, four indicators were found to be represented in the analyzed scenes, namely obedience to parents, respect and polite speech, gratitude for parental sacrifice, and good deeds and care, with the indicator of respect and polite speech being the most consistently present. Meanwhile, the indicator of praying for parents was not found to be represented in the four analyzed scenes. Through analysis at the levels of connotation and myth, the film constructs Birrul Walidain as a moral choice born from conscious awareness even when the relationship itself is fractured. This study is expected to contribute to Islamic value representation studies in film, particularly within the field of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting. %Z Muhamad Lutfi Habibi, M.A.
