%X The representation of Muslim women in film often extends beyond domestic issues to encompass the Islamic values that shape how women navigate conflict. The film La Tahzan: Cinta, Dosa, Luka portrays the character Alina as a woman confronting infidelity, marital conflict, and challenges in her relationships with her husband and children. This study aims to examine how Muslim women are represented through the character Alina in the film. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing Stuart Hall’s theory of representation and Roland Barthes semiotic analysis covering denotation, connotation, and myth. Research data consists of scenes featuring Alina, analyzed based on verbal and nonverbal signs, as well as cinematographic elements such as shot size and camera angle. The concept of the Muslim woman is framed by three aspects of a Muslim woman's identity according to Ali Al-Hashimi: her relationship with Allah SWT, her obligations toward her husband, and her obligations toward her children. The findings reveal that Alina is represented as a Muslim woman who maintains a relationship with Allah SWT through acceptance of divine decree qadha and qadar, steadfastness in the face of adversity, and reliance on Allah’s help. In her relationship with her husband, she is represented as tolerant and forgiving, possessing a strong and wise character. Regarding her children, she is represented through her efforts to provide protection and a sense of calm. Alina is portrayed not merely as a victim of domestic conflict, but as a woman who exercises agency in navigating her circumstances. The representation depicts the Muslim woman as a figure grounded in Islamic values, capable of facing challenges, and empowered to make decisions and take action within family life.
