%T POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEHADIRAN SANTRI TPA AL-MUJAHIDIN KARANGASEM YOGYAKARTA
%X Student attendance is a main factor and a basic prerequisite for the smooth flow and success of the learning process at the Quranic Education Center (TPA). This study aims to identify, describe, and analyze the forms of positive reinforcement applied by teachers (Ustaz and Ustazah) to increase student attendance at TPA Al-Mujahidin Karangasem Yogyakarta. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive field research. Data collection techniques used included non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews with the TPA director, teachers, student guardians, and students, as well as documentation. The data validity was tested using source triangulation techniques, while data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the forms of positive reinforcement applied at TPA Al-Mujahidin were divided into two types: First, verbal reinforcement which includes reinforcement with words and reinforcement with positive sentences. Second, non-verbal reinforcement which includes five forms, namely gestural reinforcement (smiles, nods, applause, thumbs up), proximity/approach reinforcement (approaching and accompanying students while studying), touch reinforcement (shaking hands habit and light pats on the shoulder), reinforcement with fun activities (Islamic games, competitions, coloring), and reinforcement with symbols or objects (prizes of stationery, school bags, snacks, report cards, trophies).
