Mosque caretakers are required not only to possess technical skills but also communication, leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and congregational service skills. This study aims to analyze the development of mosque caretakers’ soft skills through a training program at Real Masjid Yogyakarta in 2026. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis uses the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that the development of mosque caretakers’ soft skills is carried out through four stages: training needs identification, training program planning, training implementation, and training outcome evaluation. The training is conducted through mentoring, coaching, religious studies, leadership training, communication training, congregational service training, digital media training, public speaking, and learning by doing. The findings also indicate changes in the mosque caretakers’ communication, leadership, teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and service abilities after participating in the development activities.
