The strong religious culture in Yogyakarta makes religion a psychological resource for the elderly, one of which is through religious programs at Aisyiyah Yogyakarta Elderly Day Care. However, religious coping is personal and subjective, so religious activities are not necessarily interpreted and used in the same way by every elderly. Therefore, this study aims to answer how the form of religious coping used by the elderly in facing psychosocial challenges and how the role of religious coping in maintaining the psychological welfare of the elderly in Day Care Elderly Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, which involved twelve subjects, namely four elderly as the main subjects selected through purposive sampling techniques, four elderly families and four day care managers, data collected through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The results of the study show that positive religious coping is the dominant form used, namely the most prominent form of benevolent religious reappraisal, collaborative religious coping, seeking spiritual support and seeking support from clergy or members. Meanwhile, negative religious coping only appears temporarily in some subjects without becoming a dominant strategy.
