%T BENTUK INTERVENSI PEKERJAAN SOSIAL MELALUI PENDIDIKAN BERBASIS KOMUNITAS DALAM MEMPERLUAS KAPABILITAS ANAK DI SEKOLAH MARJINAL
%X This research was motivated by the limited access to education experienced by marginalized children due to various social and economic barriers. Sekolah Marjinal was established as a community-based education initiative that provides educational assistance for children who face difficulties in accessing education. This study aims to analyze the forms of social work intervention implemented through community-based education and their contribution to expanding children's capabilities at Sekolah Marjinal. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, while data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings were analyzed using Amartya Sen's Capability Approach (1999). The results show that the forms of social work intervention include social assistance, community development, and social advocacy. These interventions contribute to expanding children's capabilities in the areas of education, social development, and health. The contributions are reflected in improved access to formal education, the development of children's academic abilities, increased self-confidence and social skills, and better access to health services through health screening, referrals, and assistance with civil registration documents. The findings indicate that community-based education not only serves as an alternative educational service for marginalized children but also functions as a medium for implementing social work interventions that contribute to the expansion of children's capabilities.
