"This study aims to describe the negotiation strategies employed by Serikat Pekerja Listrik Area Solo Raya (SPLAS) in addressing outstanding payments of compensation for fixed-term employment agreements (PKWT) in 2024 and employment social security contrbutions for the period from November 2024 to May 2025. This research was motivated by the high insidence of violations of workers’ normative rights in Indonesia, particularly concerning the fulfillment of PKWT compensation and employment social security, which constitute part of rights disputes in industrial relations. This situations highlights the importance of trade unions in ensuring the fulfillment of workers’ normative rights as an effort to promote workers welfare. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving six informants selected uisng purposive sampling. The findings indicate that SPLAS’s negotiation strategy encompassed three labor negotiation models proposed by Richard E. Walton and Robert B. Mckersie, namely distributive bargaining, integrative bargaining, and mixed bargaining. In distributive bargaining, SPLAS employed utility parameter manipulation and commitment tactics through repeated consolidation, the involvement of PLN and the Labor Supervisory Unit (Satwasker), the issuance of formal demand letters, and the reaffirmation of the company’s commitments in joint agreements. In integrative bargaining, SPLAS employed joint problem identification, explored various alternative solutions, and selected solutions that considered the interest of both parties. This study concludes that the negotiation strategy implemented by SPLAS represents a practice of mixed bargaining, in which the union not only employed a distributive bargaining approach to safeguard workers’ normative rights but also utilized integrative bargaining to create mutually acceptable solutions."^^ .
