This difference arises because of the existence of various hadith narrations that explain the time, position, and procedure of raising the hand when starting prayer. The variation in understanding of these hadiths gives birth to various practices in society so that a comprehensive study is needed to understand their meaning and position. This study aims to describe the hadiths about hand movements in takbiratul ihram and analyze the construction of their meaning through a thematic hadith approach and multidisciplinary integration-interconnection. This research is a literature research (library research) that is qualitative descriptive. The primary data of the study came from the hadiths contained in the Polar of al-Tis'ah, while secondary data was obtained from hadith sharia, books, scientific journals, and other relevant literature. This research uses the maudu'i (thematic) hadith method which includes the collection of hadith based on themes, hadith takhrij, sanad and matan criticism, as well as interpretation analysis through fiqh, philosophical, health, and anthropological approaches. The results of the study show that the hadiths about hand movements in takbiratul ihram have several variations in practice, namely the time of raising the hand, the direction of the palm, the dimensions of raising the hand, and the state of the fingers. The meaning that can be taken through interdisciplinary approaches such as fiqh law, is categorized as a form of diversity of sunnah or tanawwu' al-sunnah whose purpose is to see virtue over perfection. The Health perspective is related to the biomechanics of the body, the movement between muscles and joints and the blood flow during the movement. Philosophically as a symbol of piety, tawakal, and the glorification of Allah SWT. Anthropological perspective as a ritual that becomes a symbol and habit of Muslims around the world.
