Economic indicators are no longer sufficient to comprehensively reflect societal well-being, leading many countries to begin incorporating happiness into public policy. This study aims to analyze the effect of socioeconomic conditions represented by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita. Inflation, Education, and Health, on the Happiness Index in ASEAN countries during the period 2017-2024. This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis. Based on the result on the modal selection tests, the Random Effect Model (REM) was found to be the most appropriate estimation model. The results indicate that, partially education has a positive and significant effect on the happiness index, whereas GDP per capita, inflation, and health do not have a significant effect on the happiness index in ASEAN countries.
