      "abstract": "Ideal moral leadership often clashes with the phenomenon of moral disengagement in the\r\nworkplace, necessitating a measurement tool integrated with local religious and cultural\r\nvalues. This study aims to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the\r\nPerceived Leader Moral Engagement instrument from an Islamic perspective, synthesizing\r\nBandura's theory with Al-Mawardi's leadership concept. The study utilized a quantitative\r\napproach with an instrument development design. The research participants were 300\r\nteachers from Islamic-based senior high schools in Temanggung Regency, selected using\r\npurposive sampling. Data were collected using a 32-item Perceived Leader Moral\r\nEngagement scale. Data analysis was conducted in stages, including content validity testing\r\n(Aiken’s V), reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha and McDonald’s ω), Exploratory Factor\r\nAnalysis (EFA), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results showed that the\r\nPerceived Leader Moral Engagement scale has excellent content validity (V=0.733–0.933)\r\nand high internal reliability (α=0.960). EFA results revealed that this instrument forms a\r\nsingle factor structure (unidimensional), indicating that subordinates perceive various\r\nmoral values of the leader as one holistic integrity unit. CFA testing confirmed that this\r\none-factor model has an excellent fit with values of CFI=0.982, TLI=0.981,\r\nSRMR=0.0315, and RMSEA=0.0241. In conclusion, the Islamic perspective Perceived\r\nLeader Moral Engagement scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. These findings\r\npractically contribute to educational institutions or organizations based on Islamic values\r\nin conducting assessments and leadership character development programs based on moral\r\nand spiritual ethics.",
